no u dont have to go to manual brakes
I thought the booster would be too close to the valve cover.

Because for the same $$ it takes to build a 466 SBF, you'd have a 557" BB..
Weight isn't that big of a deal, 260LBS more.. less with aluminum heads. BTW, the stock 4290/460 block is good to around 800 HP
I think BBF in Foxes are cool, but plan on spending WAY more money than what you would a Windsor, and with MUCH less options on combos, too.
I've seen a few pushed quite further than that, especially with a 4-bolt main conversion.
Not to mention the motorsport blocks . . .
well.. we're going to see how the BB does.. started tearing it down this week. and going to send it off to the machine shop to have everything checked over.
like 7upstang said planning for 500-600 on motor and then i'll decide how much to spray on top of that.
whats up mang...
haha turbo is the way to go man!!! if i still had my L id turbo it...
429/460's are the way to go if you want some serious power. I've built plenty of them. Check my link below.
I've built a naturally aspired 460 truck block with std size 460 forged pistons, std size 460 forged rods, and standard size 460 forged crank with main girdle that put out 720 hp on a engine dyno. If you want to throw boost at it and make more power than this I would recommend a Ford Racing Block.
Well he wants around 500 motor, 700 on the bottle.
He could do both but the BB would be cooler.
