Hey guys.

I just plugged in my tuner to my car... and it wont work. I plug it into another car and it does! i want to change my 93 octane tune i cant afford the stuff!
I dont think the OBDII port is shot because i passed emissions.

Does anyone have any ideas? i'm confused big time

Check fuses

For something to help narrow down, check your fuses.

Also, go to your local auto parts store and ask them to scan for DTC codes. This will help determine if the ODB2 port is working at all.

I had this happen when I used my diablosport for the first time, all I did was disconnect the battery and reboot the computer and the tuner finally worked. I would try this first.

Since the post does not include the model year of the car, I can not give a direct answer. Suggest that an inspection of ALL of the fuses be done. You may have to remove each of them one at a time as sometimes it is not visible from the top.

OBTW, if you have a 1999-2004 Mustang GT, the fuse is F1.9(20a) in the battery junction box (BJB) and F2.1(20a) in the central junction box (CJB).

It won't be the same for pre 1999 model years.

ok i got a test light and tested all the fuses... all are fine..i swapped out the cig. lighter fuse with a friends 20 amp and as i thouht that didnt fix the problem either.
Help!!

Did you check to see if the new fuse didn't blow right away? There could be short still in the circuit. If so, the new fuse will blow right away.

The 1999-2004 Mustangs have two main fuse boxes. The battery junction box (BJB) is under the hood. All fuses in the BJB start with F1....

The Central Junctin Box (CJB) is inside the car. All fuses start with F2.....

The number following is the position within the fuse box.

Since you are seam to be so certain that it is not a fuse, what do you think the problem is?

dont know. All the fuses seem fine i checked the ones under the hood and inside the cabin. i payed special attention to the fuses that power the DLC too.... all fine. i checked to see if the new fuse blew out too and its just fine.
im really confused!

Did you take the car as suggested to an Auto parts store to have the codes read(yes I know that there aren't any codes). If the ODB2 port works with a regular code reader, this offers information about where the problem could be.

After all of the posts back and forth, you still have not told us the year of the car. Which means that any information that I post about fuse location and connector wire colors may be wrong.

I tried little hints witout luck. Out.
