Testing out wingless...

I also agree that the wingless look really only looks good when the Stang is dropped (prefereably slammed) on some big ole' fattys out back. Some Awesome looking Stangs in this thread to take note of. Although I do like the GT wing too, but wingless has got the edge with me.

Congradulations your car now looks like a v6! wow now you can fool all the v6 mustang owners into racing you!

Why dont you just go ahead and put some v6 wheels on there too? Then it will complete the awesome new look. Hey it could be worse! 94/98's look like GEN I probes when they are wingless.

Do these look V6 Mustangs to you?

Just because you disagree doesn't mean you have to be a dick to every one else that has a different opinion.

I don't care if a mod doesn't like this statement, but there is little room here at Stangnet for people to be *******s, so take your negativity elsewhere!:notnice:

There are others in this thread that don't like the look, and they stated their case respectfully, without being asses, and for that, I say they are great members of this forum!

Like I said, I could care less whether you agree with me on the spoiler issue, but don't me a dick about it.

i guess your going to say mine looks like a v6 too, then again, who the **** cares if it looks like a v6? Most people don't drive around their v8's trying to prove how big their genitalia is compared to v6 owners...

So I took my wing off today to inspect the paint underneath it in case I decide to go wingless or move the wing back. To my surprise, after wiping off all of the dirt and dust that has accumulated underneath, the difference in the paint under the wing and the open surface of the trunk is unnoticeable, even after 10 years. After taking it off I've decided I really want to go wingless. I'm probably going to go the temporary route (touch up paint on the top of fasteners to cover up the holes). My only problem is that there are sort of scuff marks where the edge of the spoiler touches the trunk lid. Some of these seems like they could have actually scratched the paint but I'm not completely sure. Does anyone who has removed their spoiler have a good method of trying to get these marks off so I can tell whats a scratch and what is just a scuff on top of the paint. Also I took some pictures so tell me what y'alls opinions are on the wingless...

p.s. I got my Mach 1 chin spoiler in today so I'm letting it sit in the sun for now and then overnight. Hopefully I'll have it on by the end of the week.

BTW, your GT is not Performance Red(ES), its Rio Red(E8) you could not get Performance Red on a standard GT in 1999 only the "Limited Edition" GT.

Love the wingless look. I'm going to be doing the same this spring after I get some 17x10.5 FR500s out back with 315s. I'm also going to remove my side scoops and have the space behind them filed in. This will give my car a nice clean look.

I had a 2001 Bullitt that was wingless and really liked the look. I am thinking seriously about removing the wing on my 2004 GT, although I don't think the wing looks that bad. I did install the mach 1 grill delete and the chin spoiler.
