can anyone tell me how many mustang 2, 3door t-top cars were produced in 1977 and 1978. I am looking for the totals by year. I have one captured to buy but am being told that this car was a small build number. Is there any truth to this? Thanks in advance for any help you can offer me.

I was wondering because:

If its a 'rarity' thing, IIs are rare enough anymore, and IIs with "t"s are rarer still though I'll bet proportionally more "T"s are preserved than other IIs.

If it's a parts availability thing ... You are so screwed. :rlaugh: Factory II parts are rare to begin with. "T" parts would be even rarer.

On the brighter side, some people have started reproducing II specific parts. :nice:

I can answer that! Here's the breakdown:

1977 2+2 with T-tops = 3,092
1977 Mach 1 w/T-tops = 494
1978 2+2 with T-tops = 17,142
1978 Mach 1 w/T-tops = 2,361

Regardless of the numbers, nothing beats a II with t-tops! My King has them, but I'm constantly on the lookout for a '77 Mach 1 with t-tops, V8, 4/5 speed. No doubt I will find one in the immediate future, seeing as I've blown my car budget on paint/bodywork for the King. Great deals abound when I have no cash, but if I've got money in the bank, I can't find anything.
