Cold Air Intake

I have been looking for a cold air intake system for my 98 Mustang. I found one on American Muscle for like 75 bucks. Has anyone used that particular set up? Also, how much difference does it make in performance? Any suggestions on other systems would be great.

I used the mac on my 98 sixer and like it quite a bit. Never did a dyno to find out the difference but it sounded great! I am sure it added some horse, but nothing amazing.

I just put that exact intake in my car. I like it alot. Can't tell you how much it increased my HP, but it sounds good and the throttle's more sensitive. I think for the money its a great deal and it was easy to install.

Make your own, PVC pipe. Its what JLT uses, they just make it look pretty and sophisticated then puts a huge price on it. Did it for my 86 5.0, then did it for the Sixxx. Probably about 20 bucks spent [if you dont already have some materials in the garage] each time after they were completed.

This was on my 86 hatchback. Simple materials, slapped a few coats of spraypaint and some rubber cement, installed, instant CAI. Worked awesome, I definately felt a difference, and even better that I always had nice cold air everyday [this was in Alaska]. No MAF setup here, it was a speed density car.
