I just bought this gauge pod for my 1999 GT used on ebay. Any opinions or feedback floating around out there on this setup? I've never seen it before now, who makes it or made it? All info is welcome, thanks!

If you like it, enjoy it. I'm going to add a gauge or three but I'm thinking about an a pillar pod so I don't have to do anything to the dash. If I went with two gauges I'd get the one that replaces the speedo trim piece with a 2 gauge pod.

no didnt see it but either way the car looks awsome and the gauge pod looks good too.

Thanks man! Check out my other post about the 1999 GT with a snake's heart. That will explain the whole Frankenstein thing, haha. :nice:

well i guess if you don't mind drilling a big hole in your dash it will be fine. Should look pretty good if you can get it all mounted up right...

I don't mind the hole if I can get some good functionality and visibility out of the gauges. It's also a different look because Ive been to a ton of shows and seen a ton of mustangs of all years, and I've never seen this particular pod before. It's not like a '99 mustang dash is a rare commodity anyway. It rains parts for these cars around here.

I have a dual A pillar pod with an AEM UEGO wideband and boost gauge. I'll be adding a fuel pressure to the A pillar, and in this three pod I'd like to have a tach, shift light, oil pressure, and maybe water temperature.

:nice:Thanks for clairification there on the 94-98 clocks on the dash. it's been awhile since i've been in one. even owened a 96' an totally forgot bout them.
Oo an i did check out you 99 GT Termi heart transplant an it awsome man:nice: sweet ride

it looks pretty rad...i kinda like it...id be too scared to drill into the dash though...definatly would go with some strong double sided tape and maybe sneak the wires out back or something..

definatly different...cant wait to see pics :nice:

Thanks! Yeah, I've never seen one like it before. Once I have the pod in my hands I'll check it out and see if I can avoid drilling the dash. Honestly though, I'm not scared of taking a drill to it if need be. It's a '99 GT, not a '67 Shelby. :D I also don't think the look of the pod would take away from the overall look of the interior anyway. Hopefully the color matches and I won't have to paint it.

personally i think the one the op posted is cheap and hideous.

i have a 99 mustang. i know that this doesnt mount up the windshield view.....but i wanted something that was not going to attract the attention of every ricer who pulled up next to me. it mounts in the factory cd player location and i have 3 autometer cobalt gauges in mine.

YOU'RE cheap and hideous! Just kidding, this thread was asking for opinions and I respect yours. I haven't received the pod yet so when it comes in the mail I'll inspect the quality and fitment and make sure it is something I want to put in my car. Thanks for your input.

I cannot see the pic at work but in my opinion the cleanest ones are the ones that add a spot on the extreme left and right of the existing dash gauge bezel. Next cleanest would be the a-pillar ones but with those you are just asking to be hassled by every mad tyte racer you encounter on the street.
