CAR IS SPUTTERING

i have a 87 coupe 5.0 5 speed and it was sputtering on acceleration through the gears and i checked the computer to find out it was for a 89-93 maf and it was for a automatic i did the maf conversion but it still sputters just not as bad i was woundering if it would make a diffrence if the computer was for a stick or auto and help would be very thank full

i get the thermactor up stream and the charcoil box but both have been removed and the egr but it has been removed as well

More info on the symptoms. Also note how old your plug wires are and how recently they were inspected.

What's the fuel pressure doing at idle?

Did all this start after the MAF conversion was done?

when did this start? after a mod? like mentioned above, be a little more specific. does it make a popping noise that may sound like exhaust popping? when my maf went out, it would sometimes pop like crazy especially when the car was cold

the fuel pressure is at 35lbs at idle and steady.no the car has been doing it since i bought it and i did the maf conversion and it helped alot but it still does it. it sounds like it backfires sometimes but not that often.
