I'm tired of tan interior on my 00 GT. I want a black interior.
Does anyone sell a swap? im thinking of just going to MPS and grabbing some black seats, carpet and dash.

i just went throught his on my 97 GT. wasn't exactly fun LOL. I saved a little bit of time by dying the bottom of my dash grey to match the 01 center console i found. i think it looks Night and day better. The interior dye worked way better than i ever thought. I used it on the dash and airbags, i picked up grey vents and glove box because i was worried it would wear being those get used often.. and best deal on new carpet i found was from American muscle

and yes i know the handles are still tan. i have them sitting here waiting for me.

the only major problem i could forsee is the dash swap. the whole interior comes apart pretty easily. the new carpet i got was a little of a pain to get it all cut in the right places and fit.

The dye i used was actually some Duplicolor interior fabric and vinyl dye. I made sure the garage was warm to the recommended temp, cleaned the panels to be sprayed about 8 times with wax and grease remover and then i lightly sprayed it. i did 5 thin coats, almost a dusting really. it started to cover fully after the 3rd coat. it looks brand new in person and feels like factory. only reason i decided to go ahead and spray it, is i got to looking and over 50% of the interior is sprayed from the factory unless you have all black. all the tan airbags are sprayed over black as well as the glove boxes and the dash itself.

and, no it does not smell like paint fumes. stuff is a little harsh while painting so do make sure you have ventelation

I did the swap on the 95 I had. All the side panels and door panels are easy as pie. The center consol is a little tricky to get out around the e-brake. The dash is a little cumbersome but not hard. Its better to have an extra set of hands. There is a good thread on the corral in the 94-95 section on how to remove the dash. The one part you may have a little trouble with finding is a nice steering wheel. The are $$$ LRS but really its worth it. I say it took 6 hours for use to swap my 95.

I'm looking to do this as well. I had a guy near me offer me the charcoal int from I believe a 2000 or the black from a 94 for $300 minus seats. I want to swap the carpet an kick pannels an seal plates an maybe center console an spray the dash an head liner. How hard are the seat belts to swap? I plan on ebay seats.
