All motor mods to beat a stock 03-04 cobra?

Light to light MAYBE gears, heads, cams, lt's and cai with tune.....

But I would highly doubt that would be enough from a roll. They are rated 390 but it's not unusual for them to be 400 to 415 as it's generally considered that Ford underrateed them.

So at least I've read and heard, don't own a Terminator myself but did some heavy research when I was in the market.

And if the Terminator has a pulley and tune, good night. lol

no2 and boost are not allmotor(n/a) mods

lol. They went straight from "all motor" to power adders.

The termi cobras lay down about 360 - 370 rwhp stock but they're also heavy. The coupes weigh in around 3650.

Heads/cams/full bolt on's and a good dyno tune could do the job.

But of course, who keeps a termi cobra stock

IM not going to say that 4.6 N/A Cant be fast. But its takes A LOT to make them fast. You have to over come a HUGE Cubic inch barrier. Not to mention, your going to need to rev to the sky to get that motor to really flow. Compression, tone of head work, cams ect. I hope you dont plan on smoging basically.

Most stock 03/04 Cobras were good for high 12's @ 107-109 mph in the 1/4 mile. Some would go mid 12's with sticky tires. Evan Smith of MM&FF magazine got a stock one to go 12.25 once with sticky tires, but he is an exception to the rule, IMO.

I've seen more than a few all-motor 2005+ Mustang GT's run low to mid 12's. Gears, CAI, heads, cams, exhaust, suspension, sticky tires, and tuning is all it takes. Oh wait, you could just buy a blower and level the playing field (and probably save a little money vs staying all-motor).

Have u been under a rock?!?

Im making 400 fly hp at 6k rpms, on a 4.6L with lowered comp (9:1) with intake/exhuast and stage 2 cams, that f'n impressive to say the least.

Im going to be running 600+ fly hp with 12lbs on a turbo.....

And your point is??? Your giving up a weight advantage as well as a power band advantage to a terminator.. I dont care what horse power your car makes. Bottom line, Using your car as a example, since you did. Your sig say's you ran a 13.7 with 315RWHP.. Well, problem buddy, thats about 1 second too slow to beat a stock 03 cobra. Not to mention at 2500rpm he's already going to be full boost, your power isnt going to come on till at least 3500-4000. (due to lack of air flow, due to small CI, see above point.)

The question was N/A mods to beat a cobra.. Whats a stock 05+ run.. MAYBE, MAYBE a mid 13 with a tail wind? The S197 a Heavy car with about 100rwhp less then a 03 cobra.. To make things equal, without taking much weight out, your going to need either A-alot of suspension, or B- Alot more Ponies. A blower with about 10-12lbs would atleast put you in the ball park. But the weight and Aero are still going to be a factor. I dont know how much simpler i can explain this.

That was my point with the first post i made. By the time you get done with your motor, suspension, rearend, tuning, parts, ect. YOu should have just found a V2 or a P1sc and been done. Smog legal, and fairly quick. Probably have more power too. And no less reliable then all the motor work. Cylinder pressure to make X amount of power is the same. Doesnt matter if its nitrous , a blower, or turbo. X amount of fuel, with X amount of pressure will produce X amount of horsepower.. Now how the power curve is or how the car reacts to the power depends on the power adder.

Yeap 13.7, i was very pleased! first time at the track ever, 4k lb vert with driver, taking off from an idle and shifting early and slow. I was very impressed with myself to even break into the 13's.

AN s197 coupe and a 03/04 cobra way just about the same. And there are a number of bolt-on n/a s197's running 11's now.

I say run what you brung ~ Take it to the track and then go from there ! You wont know how good of a driver he is or you are until youre at the tree ! Once you get a set base established go from there on what you need ! No point in spending butt loads of cash if its not needed !

AMEN!!!!! The driver mod is priceless!!!!!
I've seen numerous F/I cars running mid 13s all day long because of inexperience! Same day as I've run my 12.9s with just under 300 RWHP, but I took weight out, but still ran much faster!
There is a guy with a '10 GT manual running LTs and the other basic bolt ons with 4.56s and running 11s. That has to be 350 RWHP or less! So that is a perfect example of a very good driver with the right mods and cooperative track prep/weather:nice:

Totally agree.
My brothers 98 GT. With dynod 281hp has ran 13.03. And was pulling the drivers front wheel 6-12inches off the ground.
