i bought the car with everything on it already and i can see it has bbk lowering springs on it...but i want to change the wheels...it has 17" cobras with 245/40/17s on both front and back and on full lock the fronts rub the lowers c/arms a little bit. i want to put 17x9 SC replicas on the front and 17x10 on the rear if possible. how do i know if they will fit my particular setup? also my exhaust dumps b4 the rear axle so its not in the way. thanks

I'm not sure how bad the fronts are going to rub, but you can clear a 17x10 in the rear. You will have to massage the inner fender with a big hammer. How much so depends on how big of a tire you plan on running.

i heard i have to remove the quad shocks and put in an aftermarket a arm or something? i just see a regular shock and springs? perhaps they removed them when the car was lowered? this is my first mustang so sorry for all the noob questions.

10 inch wide rears are more headaches than they are worth. Ya, it can be done, but there really isn't a good reason to make things so close, it's not the rim that doesn't fit, it's the tire.
And you can put the the max size tire the car can fit, on a 9 inch rim.

cool...ill go 17x9 all around then. what size tires should i run? i can keep the 245/40/17 on the front i think but what about the rears? i have almost brand new tires on my cobras right now that i want to swap?

any one got pictures of how much the beat the inner fender in to clear the 10's with 315's? im going 315 nittos on the back. hopefully the smaller cut nittos will help fit up in the stock wells with out to much use of a BFH

For what its worth - I run 275/40R17 and i rolled my fender using a fender roller. I rented it for $50 and it got the job done. I also run Steeda springs and Tockico shocks- no problems with that set up. You also need to consider off set and brand of tire. Some tire companies run wider/thinner than others. GL

Im not familiar with stock Mustang susp but Ive got 295's on a 10" Draglite and from what I can see it doesnt look like anything was beat or massaged.

As for whats different about the susp on my car vs stock I have no idea because I dont know what Im looking at lol....
