I want to put 17'' wheels on my 1965 mustang but I cannot decide what size and backspacing is the best fit. Should I go with 17x8 4.5bs on all four with 225/45/17 tires, someone told me that 17x8 on front doesn't fit 1965-1966 very well and 17x7 is a perfect fit. OR should I get 17x7 front 4.0''bs and 215/45/17 tires and 17x8 4.5''bs in back with 225/45/17 tires? I plan on lowering 1'' all the way around, I would like to run a 235/45/17 tire back and a 225/45/17 tire in front but I don't want rubbing and I don't want to roll fenders. I want to buy charcoal TT style wheels from Customwheelsmarket.com, are these wheels good quality, has anyone bought from them? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/17-1...ptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

I have 17s all around with 7s in the front and 8s in the rear. I would have been better off with 4 3/4 BS on the rear as the tires rub a little with the fenders rolled. I am having a little rub in the front when turning with the 7 inch on the front as well. P 235s front and P 245s rear.

I know you don't want to roll the lips but with mine rolled I fit 17x8 with 4.75 bs and 245/40-17 front and back tucked. No rubbing with this combo.

im running 245/50/16 on a 7.5" wheel. And this is on a 65 falcon that i lowered about 3.5". It has stock wheel wells and no rolled fender lips. My 65 mustang has 245s on a 7" wheel and a 265 in the back on a 8.5" wheel stock sheet metal and lowered 1".
