my 1995 mustang cobra had the fuel pump replaced at an auto shop (had to have a shop do it:nonono: i was 2500 miles from home) but i think they put the wrong type of fuel pump in it, ive heard the 95 svt's have a diffrent more powerful fuel pump and i found out the shop put a GT pump in. ive searched but i cant find this info anywere:shrug:. any help is appreciated

I *believe* that 110 LPH was the factory fuel pump flow rating for the 94 and 95 Cobras.

Do you know what flow rate/size fuel pump was installed by the shop?

Many people opt for a 190 LPH or the more popular 255 LPH fuel pumps...might be overkill if you have no plans for H/C/I or forced induction in the future though.

no im not sure what size pump they put in, only that it was a pump for a GT. i was thinking about getting a bigger fuel pump anyway for a little more power

Hmmm, ok.

I don't know what flow rate the 94-95GT fuel pumps were rated at. Maybe 88 LPH or 110 LPH as well ?? Someone over in the 94-95 section probably knows for sure.

Removing the fuel pump and installing a new one isn't overly difficult if you follow a write-up/installation guide. There's bound to be a few of them on the message board (run a search). You could probably tackle it on your own or with the help of a buddy if you plan on installing a 255 pump or something down the road...

According to the ford book. "The high-pressure fuel pump can supply 60.0 liters (15.9 gal) of fuel per hour (3.8L engine) or 95 liters (25.1 gal) of fuel per hour (5.0L engine) at a working pressure of 269.0 kPa (39 psi)." It only lists one part number for 5.0's.
