alright im kind of a newbe to upgrading cars so any help would be appreciated. im looking to try and get around 300 rwhp out of my 95 Cobra, the mods im looking at are, Trick Flow street heat intake, trying to decide on a good head, im looking at either AFR or a Twisted wedge not sure on what size to get. Magnaflow full exhaust, a light cam i have no idea on what type of cam to get. a 155 or 255 fuel pump, probably a 75mm throttle body and mass air flow sensor. i really want to leave the bottem end stock and i allready have a cold air on it. is their anyway i could have my intake ported and just use it and still get the power:shrug: i like the stock look. can i use my stock headers with after market heads?

I have the trick flow twisted wedges on my car and love them. i would go with a 170-185 head with either a 61-64 cc combustion chamber. You can port the intake but I don't think it will get you where you want to be. You could also run stock headers on the new heads. The problem with that is you are putting new heads on to increase flow and the stock headers are so restrictive you will be choking it out with them. I would reccomend a set of trick flow and a set of bbk shortys ceramic coated.

ok cool those were the ones i was leaning towards, their around 1800 to 2000 at most places, know and good places to get them? i was also thinking about putting new rear gears in i think i heard that 3.55 were recomended?

3.55s so you can fix the speedo with a 23 tooth speedo gear , and I would go with the trickflow heads and trickflow stage 1 cam and port the stock intake and 70mm TB and BBK shorty headers it will get you close to your goal , probably have to change intakes to get the 300 number out of it

I run the whole Trick Flow top end kit with the Track Heat intake.I also run a 70mm TB and a 75mm mass air with 30lb injectors. I had heard the ports on the Cobra intake would not line up very good and some had sealing issues as well.Maybe the port job can fix these problems, I can't say as I just did it all. I know my computer did not play real well with the stage one cam so I had to run my idle at about 950. It made a nice difference over the factory stuff and I have 3.73's. I personally would have liked 4:10's but I do not know about the 3:55's. You might as well do a 255lph pump because if your like most of us soon you will want more and no sense doing the pump twice and the fuel just returns to the tank if its not used anyway. I also ran mine untuned (just timing and fuel pressure) until the blower went on, wish I would have tuned it before that though. Stock headers will not impress on those heads, and if its for a short time may not be that big of a deal but they do need to go.

TFS kit will get you 300 SAE rwhp as many have done it

To make it to 300 or a bit better ..........
you'll need to take advantage of all the needed supporting parts :spot:

We are talking about a custom tune for sure :Word:

I'd do a mid length runner upper
I'd do long tubes

For such a NA combo ... OEM ignition is more than up to the job ;)

You can skip the custom tune, and do a mail order chip to save money. They work decently. Enough people have done a similiar combination that a mail order chip will be close enough.

You should do ok with the stock Cobra intake. It's actually a pretty decent intake, and it will maintain that stock appearance. The Trick Flow intake would be better though. There shouldn't be any alignment issues between the intake and heads. I think you are on the right track.

It's a decent compromise between spending the extra money, and having a look stock though. Should be able to put 300rwhp down with a Cobra intake no problem.

If I kept the stock intake, I'd DEFINATELY pay the $150 to have TMOSS port it.. It would be an excellent compromise between stock and aftermarket..

You really should be able to keep your stock MAF and Throttle body, along with stock injectors with an adjustable fuel pressure regulator..

I wouldn't waste the money to step up to just a 3.55.. I would either go 3.73 or ideally, 3.90's..

Shorty headers will help you out, or you can go longtube and gain torque thru the entire rpm range for about the same price.. You need to make your decision BEFORE you buy a midpipe so you buy one for longtubes or standard length headers...
