I haven’t driven her in 2 weeks (I do start her once a week) since its cold out and the roads have been messy with snow rain salt dirt and all that fun stuff. Today is a warm 28 degrees, blue sky, the roads are dry and clean. Went out and fired her up. She started without a problem, I let her come up to temp (Took about ten minutes at idle). Jumped in drove down the road till I came to a stop sign. I dropped her down to first took traction control off turned onto this nice country road with no houses just fields. Took her up to about 10mph then hit it. Tires spun like crazy ,she was sliding all over the place, slammed her into second still spinning and buy this time I was at 60 and let off backing down to the 50mph speed limit. Drove her around town for a few more miles then took her home. Pulled into the driveway gave her a good couple revs and shut her down until the next time I wake her up to play in these winter months. Any one else drive there stangs on nice days in the winter.

I have only had my stang for about two months. I only drive her on saturdays, last saturday it was rainy and messy so i skipped out. This saturday looks to be great, cant wait.It my first FORD, and my first STANG, 98gt I love it.

we don't have winters here, just cool days.

What's the word on your car? Are you keeping it? Didn't you consider getting rid of it?

I'm going to sell eventually if everything holds true about the new 412hp 5.0L 2011 GTs. I will probably pick one up in 2011 when the 2012 models are out. Though I may end up selling my stang come spring because I want to buy a house then get a ring for my girlfriend. So we will see, I will always have a stang one way or another and the good thing is my girlfriend loves stangs to:nice:. I still have subframes that need to be installed, I also want FR500 rims and 35% tint to finish off the look of my car. If I do end up keeping my car I will be putting a 6 speed in her and going with an O/R mid pipe. That should put me around 300+ Rwhp.

Yep. I drove mine a couple of days ago. It's been cold here in KC and we received our first snow a couple of weeks ago. It's suppose to warm up for few days and I plan on driving the stang. I have some last minute xmas shopping to do and I'll be using the stang for that. It's very easy to spin the tires on these cold winter roads. I even spun my tires getting on the highway in third gear doing 50mphon a dry road. Pearl02.

I wish I could drive mine but it has been torn apart for over a month while I do a KB install, Bilstiens and H&R race springs, new brakes, cleaning the engine bay, painting the valve covers and finally swaping in a IRS one everything on the front end is done. Man its a lot of work.

Cold air is fun... it makes a slow car feel like a beast. :D

The other day, I stompted it in 1st, spun hard through that gear, banged 2nd with some healthy wheel spin and hooked up finally around 45mph... all in a basically gutless npi with stock gears.

You'll have fun with it once it's back on the road. It will be well worth it. Pearl02.

Haven't driven mine in over a month. It's hibernating for the winter.
