My current build...438 clevor/70 fastback.

Man.... that thing is freakin GORGEOUS!!!

(makes me wanna' go out in the garage and throw rocks at mine  )

Got any pics / advice on the brake install? Who's stuff did ya use, problems, etc... ?

Keep the pics coming!!!

Dave

There wasn't much to the brakes. When you order the AJE kit you pick your hub. I went with a SN95 hub. Everything for the front is SN95 based, rotor, caliper...etc. No issues.

The rear is your basic disc brake conversion caliper bracket.

I'm gathering material to do my own headers...should have some pics in January. Took December off for working on the car.

Here is a recent pic of the engine...

CHI sells a crossover kit for the clevor setups...

I hadn't seen a late model booster/mc used before. Any problems with adapting / linkage / etc? Looks like it fits just right.

The more I look at the thing, the more jealous I get... :rlaugh: :flag:

I had to drill new mounting holes on my firewall and had to shorten the rod of the hydraboost. Simple stuff but it all lined up perfect. Pedal distance from the floor is exactly where I want it.

Don't get too jealous....everything will be new except for the paint. It's an 8 year old 2000$ paint job, that includes body work. At this point its a 50/50 paint job. :D

I plan on driving the car a lot so a scratch or chip here and there won't bother me.

I think I'll add that late model booster/ms to my "to do" list...

Along with new carpet and seats for the 90' ( came out to feed the dog before work, and it was raining inside the garage... windows down, car about an inch deep in h2o inside and out... :( :nonono:  )

...frozen pipe.

Anyhow, your ride sure looks good.

Keep the photos coming.

At this point everything fits with the hydraboost setup. I see a potential issue with one of the high pressure lines and hood hinge. It's gonna be close. I'll take some pictures once I get all the fittings ...that's one of the last things on my list though.

Yep, it will be my first time trying it but I think it'll turn out nice. I've done everything up until this point.

Good luck.

I have done everything to mine up until i tried doing the headers, F that. It was hella hard so i took it to an exhaust shop and had them do it, took them 2 1/2 weeks to build them and they are badass. I also had them do the xpipe and mufflers.

They aren't toooo bad to do.

Just remember a couple things (imho)
- forget all that equal length crap, the 1-2% that you lose is NOT worth the headache :nonono:
- tack welds are your friend... they are easy to dust off and re-do if it doesn't fit quite right :nice:
- dont forget once the pipes are run side by side and welded to the flange, you're not gonna be able to get inbetween them to finish that one beed you "left till later"...

Also a trick that I absolutely love (if you use 3 bolt flanges at the reducer/collector):

Use a double flange (two welded together) on the reducer and weld them on so that the entire first half of the flange sticks out above the top edge of the reducer. (about 3/16 - 1/4 inch)

Then when you weld the flange on the collector (the up stream side) slide it up about an 1/8 of an inch onto the collector. (so that about an 1/8 inch of collector is sticking out beyond the downstream side of the flange) The gasket will basically hang on this 1/8 of pipe, when youre bolting the collector flange to the reducer flange.

Now when you bolt em together, the gasket is protected from blowing out, by the little bit of collector that runs inside it, and the double flange on the reducer basically forms a "female" socket for it to fit into.

Blow-proof 3 bolt flange gaskets... :nice:

( after their all done, find a local coating place and have em' throw a coat of ceramic on em'. They look bitchin and the best part is, when guy at the shows/meets ask where ya got em' you can tell em you made em... all matter of fact like, as if everybody does it. :rlaugh: )
