Hey guys/girls. I recently got my 2 roll down windows tinted, and today after a week of not rolling them down to let the tint settle i rolled them down and now they wont roll back up. The guy at the tint shop told me not to roll them down for a week (which i did) and after a week goes by roll them down all the way then bring them back up. It looks like the new rubber liner with the soft felt on the inside that touches the window they put in there is hung up, and now the rubber part is rubbing on the window keeping it from going up. Im gunna head over to the shop tomorrow morning, but in the meantime i figured id post it here to see if any of you have had this problem. Tomorrow morning is gunna suck tho its about 30 degrees outside and i have 2 garbage bags covering the opening at the moment haha.
oh man this sux! will they give you some sort of refund or atleast fix it for free?
i want to put tint on me windows...so i might learn from this..keep me updated
Just got back from the tint shop. Turns out the rubber they put on got wedged from it being really cold out and made the rubber hard. So 5 sprays of windex later and a vinyl scrapper they now work fine. So if any of you get your roll downs tinted in the winter be perpared to have to unwedge the rubber to soften it a little after the first time you roll them down.
