How much insurance?

You guys still need to mention how much coverage you're getting for the price you're paying.

For my 2001 Mustang GT, I pay $1700/year with $300,000 covering the other side (total damage), $100,000 per person, $100,000 property damage, plus uninsured motorists insurance (I'm insured incase an uninsured motorist hits me), and $5,000 medical protection. As for the auto collision itself, it's actual cash value as well as auto comprehensive insurance.

There could be some people out there with only $30,000 coverage covering the other side with $15,000 per person coverage max. If you get into an at fault accident that was pretty bad, you can max out the $30,000 coverage and have to pay the rest out of pocket.

In my opinion, it's best to increase coverage covering the other party so they can't sue you for your own pocket cash or assets.

46 Y/O & married. I pay $1,430.00 a year through Liberty Mutual. That seems high but it covers by 08 GT, 07 GT500, 08 Hyundai Genesis, Porsche Carrera, 90 ZR1, 71 Z28, 69 SS Camaro, Kodiak Race car hauler and trailer and the dragster if it is the trailer during an accident. It pays/saves to be older with a spotless record. I shop rates every year, Liberty is aways less money for me than the rest and I have had two total losses that were not my fault. One was a Navigator and the other a 1 month old F350 dually. However, my 19 year old daughter drives my Shelby GT500, she pays $1,655.00 dollars a year to be insured for it and her 03 SRT4. She has no tickets either and does not live at home. When she did live at home and she was on my policy, my rates were $1,842.00 a year. However, she was insured to drive all my cars.

Some of your insurance rates are insane!

IM 21 and i only pay 900 per year on my 08 GT. its crazy cheap. considering i payed almost as much for my old 99 v6. dont ask me how its that cheap. i have a clean driving record and school discount but thats it.

I need to know who your insurance company is

Not a Gt but for my v6:

Just went down to $220/month, granted I'm 19, on my own plan, full coverage and had a no points ticket. State Farm

and you definitely need to know what his insurance company is.

Adopt me.

South Jersey here & State Farm: I was paying around $1200 per for the GT, but for reasons no one at State Farm seems to know, it has jumped to around $1700 per year.. I don't even drive the car but 300-400 miles a month.

I'm 29, own my own home, have been with SF for 10+ years, and have never had a ticket.

I wonder how much the insurance rates will change on the 2011 GT. The power hike should make it more pricy but it is also a safer car with 5 star crash ratings on all the sides now that ought to count for something.
