Do you have Flo Fits? 2 Questions

I am considering putting a used set of Flo Fits in my 68 vert. Do they sit higher and, if so, how much? Do they adjust further back? The problem is that with the stock seats, my knees hit the steering wheel a little. If the Flo Fits sit higher, that might be a problem. Thanks.

I have them in my 65 and love them. However, they do sit higher. They do not slide back any further than stock.

I didn't fit in the car once I installed them (I'm 6'4"). I lowered the seat pans by about 1.5-2" and moved them back about 2". Others have made extenders to mount the seats further back without modifiying the seat pans. It's not really that hard to modify the seat pans if you can weld.

Mustbe, you don't happen have pictures of your extenders do you? I'm not a very good welder, but could probably make the extension if they are simple. I'm 6'2" and need to avoid getting closer to the vert hoops. Thanks!

I didn't use the extenders. I moved the whole seat risers back in addition to lowering them.

I think the extenders were made out of flat stock with some holes drilled in them, no welding necessary. In effect you bolt the flat stock to the old seat mounting holes in the riser and bolt the seat to the flat stock. Position the flat stock so it extends past the end of the riser towards the back seat.

I reupholstered my seats with TMI sport seat conversion foams and covers. They look pretty close to the flow fits, but they sit at the same height as the stock seats. You can get them in any color you want. I bought the conversion from Mustangs Unlimited.
