Use a 13mm flex socket

The bolt is hard to get to. Have you tried a 13mm "Flex" socket and a long extention? Use the 6 point type. Try different length extensions. Too long or too short won't work.

Also, fewer long extensions (limit 2) are better than multiple short extensions. Will be stiffer allowing for more pressure on the socket. Will keep it from walking off.

May help to loosen motor mounts and rear transmisson support. Lower the transmission/engine combination. Make sure everything is well supported. However, this may improve the angle to reach the top bolt.

Ugh...We have tried the different tranny positions. We didn't have a flex extention at the shop. So we are going back to try it in the morning with one. We have tried different lenghts.

i think it will be a big help if we can get one extension that is a couple feet long rather then trying to piece them together like we have been. also if we can loosen the mounts so that we can get straight on without having the use a swivel might help with the issue we were having with the socket walking off the bolt. i didn't think to look at the motor mounts while we were working on it
