i came into a f303 cam for next to nothing. after doing a little research i think this came may be to much for what i have: gt 40 heads, svo 1.72 rockers and stiif springs, 3:73, trickflow intakes, most bolt-ons. ... etc, (motor work in process) nothing to aggressive just want a summer weekend ride. so will this cam work good with the setup i have? if so ill keep it, if not, whats the better cam to go with (newer technology is out there im sure). And there may be an f 303 cam forsale. thanks for any input

its great with boost and gears, if you dont have those go with something else. the TFS1 is a great OTS cam and would work well with your combo.

Total valve lift will not cause PtV issues, when full valve lift occurs, the piston is more than 1.5" away from the cylinder head deck. A better cam with the correct valve events to help the GT40 heads fill those cylinders while ensure driveability, would be a better driveable investment.

i have the f303...sounds awesome at idle...i also have gears etc...not sure on the piston thing as this was done before i bought the car...sounds nasty though :D

here are a couple of options. any body have any expierence with these?
trick flow stage one
anderson ford n-41
comp cam xe 266 hr
crane 444225
lunati 51014.
ive read that the e and b 303's are outdated and old design, finding the right cam seems to be a little bit of a pain, especially when all the stat numbers are like chinese to me.

I ran the f303 with 1.6 roller rockers, stock short block and GT40 heads that were milled 40 thousands (60 cc chambers) the mustang ran great. I also have the n-41 in one of my motors with AFR 165 heads, I like the n-41 better but it's a lot more money
