Hey everyone. Havent really been around latley. But Ive been busy with work and my car.
About a month ago, I decided Im going to put togeather a Custom Vortech Build. Using a Front Mount Intercooler, my own choices of MAF, Fuel Injectors, Fuel Pump and other stuff.
So heres how it started.
Superchargersonline.com sells complete assembly's. Bracket Assembly, Air Intake Assembly, Discharge Assembly, Oil Feed/Drain and more stuff to use. Pretty cheap too. But since Im going with a Front Mount Intercooler setup, I dont need a Discharge Assembly. So here we go:
- Vortech V1 Head Unit $325 (eBay) (STEAL) Great condition, low miles.
- Front Mount Intercooler $200 (member from SVTPerformance.com) (STEAL Again)
Also comes with the Air Intake Assembly (Saves $215) and 2 Bosch Bypass Valve setup.
- Bracket Assembly $165 (Member from AllFordMustangs.com)
Im debating weather or not to buy this. Ill need a 3.33 pulley, I can buy one used for like $40 or brand new for $80 from Superchargersonline.com. And I need the radiator hose connectier piece. Which I can also buy from superchargersonline for a rediculous $23 or just buy a piece of metal from Lowes. The Bracket from the site with pulley is $305 shipped. Id save about $120 buying this used even after the pulley.
Thats all the stuff I have ordered. Besides the Bracket, thats pending.
Heres all the other stuff Im buying, everything is hot linked:
Oil Feed Line - $22
Oil Drain Line - $23
PMAS Blow Through MAF - $265
Ford Racing 42# Fuel Injectors - $269
Ford GT Supercar Fuel Pump - $169.95 - Install Guide For Ford GT Fuel Pump
Kenne Bell Boost a Pump - $249
Now if you dont want to do an intercooler, you can buy the Discharge Assembly here: DISCHARGE ASSEMBLY
Before I found this used intercooler, I was going to buy this:
CX Racing Intercooler w/ plumbing and BOV
You could also use a 255lph Fuel Pump instead, and you could go with a 90mm Lightning MAF aswell to stay more in the budget.
As far as gauges go, Im going with an Instrument Cluster Dual Pod, with a Autometer Phantom Boost/Vacuum Gauge, and Air Fuel Ratio Wideband Gauge.
Af anyone has any questions feel free. Ill be updating this as I go along.
