New owner long time enthusiust, recently purchased 95 GTand the guy said it had been rebuilt 80k ago and that it has a Ford "B" Cam...with no paperwork!!!
My first few mods i am wanting to do is MSD or other ignition, cap, rotor, wires, plugs! Wouldnt the cam affect what the ignition chioce would be?Well how do i figure out if it has a cam? Also it has really high gears and would love to make it quicker...suppossably it has 2;70's??? Any recommondations for size and manufacturer? Is it an expensive upgrade??Thanx for the input and i am sure you all will be hearing from m e alot!!lol

upgrading the ignition will be fine, that cam wont affect that. is the car an auto? if it is it might seem to chop a little bit harder than a five speed. to check the gears, jack up the back of the car and see if the stock gear tag is still on the pumpkin cover, it will be attached with one of the cover bolts and it will have the ratio on that. if not, you could always spin a tire and count the revolutions

If your OEM ignition is in good shape ..........
it is more than enough to deal with a NA combo to well over
300 to the wheels :nice:

Yes ... compare the amount of movement of drive shaft and tire to get your ratio :)

stock ignition with what you have is fine,is the car an auto or a five speed? if an auto jmo 3.73 work well,i like 4.10's with a stick in an sn car,i had a 94 gt all stock except bbk shorty headers, off road bbk h pipe,40 series flowmasters,4.10 gear and a bbk cold air, and it went 13 teens all day long in the heat, got a couple high 12's in very good conditions(on drag radials) not sure if they all run like that but mine did,it was also a 5 speed
