331 SBF with Procharger (F1R????)

Considering your response, I'm not sure you should post.

Why is everyone concerned with his money situation. He never once asked what is this going to cost, and look at the first response he got. The guy may as well have answered that he like JELLO, because neither response would have answered his question. Good Lord People...:Zip2:

Well mr wizard.
A 331 may or may not reach 900hp.
That ok for you?

projects like this "nickel an dime you to death" (as my grandpappy used to say...before he left this ****ty world, haha, 2 points to whoever knows that movie quote)

If I were to build a car to that level Id go with a huge turbo and a powerglide.

Thank You Thank you Thank You oh yeah and Thank You :nice: They worry about paper so much must be this recession. Do people ever save their money?????

Will ask the Question again 331 Dart based Engine with F1R Procharger and everything to help it like suspension and fuel system and Saftey ETC. Would say 900WHP be capable?:nice:

YSI ???????????????????????????

The answer to your question is yes, a 331 with an f1R will make 900rwhp all day, the stock ECU with a SCT isnt gonna be able to cut the mustard though, and be prepared to buy all new parts, because if you want 900rwhp, then 99% of what was on your 306 stock block 500hp motor arent gonna work and you will have to do things twice.

My suggestion is stick with the F1r, but ditch the 8.2 deck crap and build a 9.5 deck 357,383,393,408,427, etc, a big inch windsor motor will make the power making less boost, and you will spend less money and have less maintenence in the long run

Honestly I'd be disappointed if it only made 800HP, you should have no problem making that type of power with that set-up.

I would go 4.125" bore, 3.25" stroke (347ci) to help unshroud the valves and allow the head to flow properly, I would also seriously look at going to the AFR225 if you don't already have the 205's. Get a cog set-up and crank support for the F1R......

Look at the NMRA Renegade cars, they make over 1000RWHP with less motor then you are building. It can be done, it's all in the combo.....and wallet:D

Hey buddy, how ya doin?

Oh, and- AMEN. A 331 is going to have to work a lot harder than a 408-427 to make those power numbers.

Thanks Guys I know some people obviously believe that i have my mind made up but thats not so, its suggestions on Cubich inch and Blowers that i was in search of and HP range. I know that there is a need for supporting items, like Wings on a Plane.

Now as for the entire build yeah let me say im going to be putting roughly $25K in2 my car that i already have $15000 invested in it. Ah lets see its call Drag racing last i check, so big Buck Sport for Guys with Big Dreams and Pockets unless you just want a fun Street Strip car and those days are over for my 1989 Stang, as for the Black 87 GT i have also thats my Baby thats 302 With Heads and a little goodies and a 100 Shot for some Friday Nights along with AC / Power Windows Etc and my Sons Booster Seat.

Got That, &as for the $15000 Engine Build along with Suspension upgrades, Its going to happen OK,so sorry for those who have to Spend Tons of Cash as their Builder wants to Rape them OK.

Not trying to start a debating war here The Sport of Drag racing Takes allot of frigging $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ if thats what your after and one like me should know doing it from where i live and all just for the fun and braging rights.

Non the less keep the opinions rolling????

Thats the name of the game, but honestly man, the way your talking, mabye you should just start over with the car, and put a 25.5 cert cage in it because its pretty obvious that you arent concerned about driving it on the street, and if you do things right your gonna need it. How fast do you wanna go with the car? whats the ET goals?

I agree with Hasselhoff, a chassis is the right way to go 25.5 would be a good start. It has features that a 12pt just will not cover, this will ensure you keep the car together and it actually gets to the ground.

Here's some old phot's of my 25.5

God, I hate language barrier threads. Rosetta Stone is your friend. Don't post questions if the only response that you deem acceptable is the one you've already formulated in your head.

Rick,

Just kind of wondering why you went with a 25.5. Does your track require it or do you just like the added security? Or do you plan on ripping into the 7's? Also how much weight did your 12 pt add?
