Cast Aluminum spoke wheels, worth anything?

Per the mustangii.net wheel id page anyway.

The car came with these on it, have all center caps even.

My question is are these desirable at all? If so, I may sell them, otherwise they most likely will be going on my Pinto. I definitely won't be using these on the stang, I will be going with 15inch rims most likely. 5 lug for sure. I really like the classic Centerlines.

Thanks,
Russ

Sure, no problem. And the check is in the mail too. :)

Seriously, is a CobraII what they came on normally? It makes sense. The p.o. had one that he killed. I have lots of parts off of it also. I thought it was funny when I saw the page on the other site that there were Ghia wheels but mine didn't have them. Thought maybe it was an option or something. I have lots to learn about these cars.

Thanks,
Russ

I'm guessing they are white? So many of the Cobras came with the lace wheels. You say you have other parts? Got a set of rear quarter window louves you want to sell?

The cast aluminum mesh wheels were standard on a couple of packages with special finishes and machining (KC = orange with special machining, Ghia Sport = Chamois), and optional in either polished with clear coat or white on almost any other MII.

The special finish wheels may be pretty rare, but the white and polished ones are only slightly rare.

I would think that they would look great on a Pinto, especially with a set of low profile tires.

That is probably what I will do with them. Unless the finish has really faded, these are just polished.
I need to get some Mothers cleaner/polish and see what they look like shined up.
Just wanted to make sure that they weren't something that would pay for the Mustang if I sold them.
Still so much to learn.
I actually had a 75 Mach 1 way back in late 1982/early 1983. But back then all I cared about was driving it. Was the last part of my Navy life. I should have kept the car, but wasn't sure I wanted to drive it from Charleston SC to Phoenix AZ, so I sold it to a neighbor cheap. Oh, well, just another of those cars that I let get away. Won't even mention the 1970 GTO I had later.

Thanks,
Russ

I have a set of the lace style rims for my 76' cobra II. 235/60R13 on rear and 205/60R13 on the front.
complete with the cobra screw on center caps.

First pic is the rim with 235/60R13...second is compared to my truck 215/75R15

Wow, I didn't know that you could even get the Radial TA in 235/60R13!

I used to run P205/60R13 on my '76 hatch, but I was never satisfied with the combination. Either the wheel wasn't wide enough or the sidewalls weren't stiff enough. Every time I drove it hard it seemed like I either took chunks out of the edge of the tread or marked up the sidewall.

I just checked and the ONLY 13" size currently offered in the Radial TA is P205/60R13. At least its a nice performance size...

Oh, I need 2 KC centercaps too! I still mad someone took 2 of my set of 4. But it's a small city, i'm sure they will turn up. When I put them back on, I'm thinking of using phillips, a robertson, a torx, and an allen key screw to hole them on, with nuts on the back. Sadly, i'd probably end up waking up with no wheels on the car lol!
