I parted out an 86 Tbird Turbo coupe 10 years ago. One of the things I got out of it was a Clifford Cyber 1 alarm minus the remote. The alarm system was less than a year old at the time so I yanked it. I picked up a remote off the bay a couple months ago and am now in process of installing the alarm system in my 86 Saleen in order to obtain keyless entry. .

So I have everything wired up with exception of the two ignition wires. This setup did not come with the optional starter interrupt relay so those wires were not used previously.

When I install the fuses, the alarm is set off automatically like it was bumped and then resets itselft after 90 sec. Opening the door sets it off again. I cannot dissarm the unit because I have not programmed the remote yet. How can I disarm the thing without the remote? I have not been able to get the unit is programming mode, using the valet switch either? Could this be because I do not have the ignition wires connected? The instructions to get the unit into program mode say to turn on the key and then start flicking the valet switch till you hear chirps. I see no reason to turn on the ignition unless those wires are connected.

According to the schematics I downloaded, the white with brown stripe wire connected to the ignition and the green wire connects to the relay which I do not have. If I need to connect the white with brown stripe wire to the ignition, where do I connect it at?

Any help would be appreciated. I apologize if this is not the correct spot to post this.

OK I used to install these things back in the day I dont remember much but I'll try to help out. You def have to connect the white/brown stripewire to the ignition. I believe the ignition wire on an 86 Mustang is red/green stripe. The green wire I'm pretty sure is for the starter kill relay. You don't need this connected for programming purposes. It's been a long time and I apologize if my info isn't correct-Im pretty sure it is.

Ok I got it to work for a short period of time but I think I messed something else up. I wired the ignition wire and installed the fuses. Aparently, I had an intermittent wire on the siren. Instead of fixing it correctly, I just cut the piece out that was bad and just twisted the wires together to see if it would work:notnice: I got the remote programmed and it was working fine with exception of the locks. The doors would not lock and unlock so I started playing with it when I shorted the two wires for the siren together. It blew the fuse so I installed a new one and now the siren is stuck on. Arm and disarm will not turn it off. Any idea how to fix it? How can I turn this thing to factory settings?
