Welcome JW! :) Glad to have ya...as far as mods go I can only give the generic ones really since I have an '08, but I would think about what you want to do with the car first and then start planning. Visual? Sound? Forced induction or naturally aspirated?

thanks im tryin to decide whether or not to get one of those 4" cowl hoods from cervini i can get the hood for free but id have to pay $275 to have it painted but the bad thing is i live in georgia and cervinis is located in new jersey so thats a 14.5 hour drive. what do yall think i should do? I just dont wanna miss out on this deal but i dont know. i really wanna get a short shifter too and i know most people suggest the mgw or hurst but need some help in what direction to go on that one too.

Most people go with an intake and tune as their 1st mod. Breenspeed and Tillmanspeed would be a good place to start. Both places sell intake and tuner combos. I would have recommended Bama chips, but he is only doing tunes for the time being. Next, I would do gears. If you have a manual get 4.10s. For an auto...that's debatable 3.73 or 4.10s. If you plan on supercharging in the future, then 3.73 would be better especially if you want a twinscrew such as saleen, whipple or Kb. If you go with a Centri like procharger, paxton or vortech then 4.10s would work. Oh! and new axleback/mufflers would be a nice addition.

MGW!!! Don't even think about another shifter, get them out of your head...out..out..out! As for performance mods, you can start with a cold air intake and tune that will net you the most power for your dollar after that you can consider exhaust. What's your final goal for power?

A 4 inch cowl hood is probably too high for a daily driver. I love cowl hoods but I like to see out my windshield.
Although, there are times when I don't want to see the ass-hattery that passes for driving skills here on Houston streets and freeways!!
