Epic fail...(vid)

The whole room full of people was a recipe for disaster. That old fart should be glad he didn't step on the other side of the drum... it very possibly could've sucked his foot down in the slot.

Darwin at work.

Too many people in there... if the motor blows a couple people lose their faces.. if the straps brake a couple people lose their legs. That's exactly the reason why most shops have that sign "No Customers Beyond This Point" at the door.

I've seen that vid before. It really scares me because 1- He's already old and frail and 2- accidents with high-speed machinery almost never come out good. Dude got really lucky, but I bet he'll be sore. Hopefully they changed their shop policy after that one.

Except Horsepower Freaks! Went there for a dyno day a while back and they let the shop FILL with people. In fact, I was pumping a grumpie in the bathroom when a 1,000 HP Supra blew on the dyno....lets just say I had a little help that day with the mud dragons....:nonono:

:rlaugh: :Teh-Win:

That's gotta be the best way I heard that explained in my entire life.

I've been to hpf during a dyno day. They had the shop full of people but they were behind a rail about 10' away from the cars, not less than 2'.

Are they still there on Airport way? Last time I was in the area I didn't see the shop.

That whole room is an OSHA violation. It's too small to even stand in with a car running WOT with the hood up. If that 100 shot of naws blows the welds on the intake, everyone in that room could die.

*takes a bow*

Yeah I think torque freaks closed, but last I checked they are still there. I get emails every once in a while from em.
Stay outta the dyno room Santa Claus!

Colorful euphamisms for describing dropping a chop. You sir are the Mark Twain of poop stories!:flag:
Thank you thank you, check out the short bus sometime, I have shared the pump a grumpie a time or two over there :nice:
