I have a set of ball joints for my 92. Are they the exact same as SN95... say for my 96 3.8 ? I'm only asking because I have one bad ball joint on my 96. I'll use these if I can.
I just bought two new MOOG ball joints for my project yesteday. They were $90.00 for the pair. I bought 94-04 style this time though. The lat two cars I used fox stuff and spacers.
That's not how that works. The fox ball joint's threaded area is taller than the 94-04s. The spacer is needed so the proper torque requirements can be achieved when using 94-04 spindles on fox ball joints. The steeda ball joints actually have a taller base and shaft(see pic). This is what "moves" the spindle up. The correct ball joints for your car are only around $22 bucks a piece at most parts stores. They will also rent you a ball joint press, so you can remove them with the control arm on the car. Simple really.
