Ive searched and searched but havent found a line lock tutorial for my car. It has abs, but the abs light is on and abs doesnt work, so im not sure if that will affect the line lock. In the first pic, i guess the proportional valve, has 2 lines coming from it which run to the abs unit in the second picture. It looks like one line goes to the abs unit, to control the back brakes. Then the other line looks like it goes to the abs unit for the LF and the RF. Can i just take the line out of the proportional valve, which goes to the abs unit to the front brakes, and put that line to the line lock. Then run a line from the line lock back to the proportional valve. Would that work.

I just tapped into the front tire out from the block to the line lock. From the line lock I have a line going to each front tire, thats it for me. I don't have abs, but you not need to even touch anything on the abs unit for this.

I think i can just take the front brake line off the proportional(sp) valve and run it to the line lock, then run another line back to the proportional valve. Does that sound like it makes sense, it should keep pressure on the front brakes, thru the abs box if im thinking correctly.

Kurt,

so you put a line lock on each side right before the caliper?

Yeah, that seemed to be the most logical place to me. It can't interfere with the ABS because it's after the ABS module. It seemed logical to put it as close the caliper as possible. I used the generic Summit line locks which were about $40/each. I've had them for about 10 years now, and they have never failed.

yes you can take the line off the proportioning valve for the front brakes and go to the line lock like you originally figured. your abs module technically is just 4 line locks controlled by your ecu, when not in use, the valves are open to let fluid through. how you originally wanted to install your linelock is how i've got mine done. works perfectly fine and for over 3 years now.
