I have done everything on the engine but these. Want to change it to a 4 valve so i can get a lot more power but also heard about some new heads trickflow was coming out with a few months ago that people were raving about. What are the best in your opinion?

Regards,

Alex

In a price comparison, the trickflow heads + cams will give you more power for cheaper. Porting the 4vs and upgrading the cams will run you a lot of money.

Get the trickflow.

Appreciate it. Yeah i wasn't go to do the 4 valve swap unless i found some package deal, it's just way too much. Were those new trickflows over hyped or is the air flow as impressive as they were saying?

Edit: What are the new Trick Flows called? The 185 series?

From what i understand you just have to change the timing chain. A friend did it. But there's a compression issue i wasn't thinking about. When you go to the 4v your going to have lower compression but still a 40 horse gain. But hearing you can get that with these Trick Flows (with upgraded intake, TB, Mass Air, Headers, exhaust

There is more to putting 4v heads on a PI block than just the timing chain. If you can afford the Trickflow, I would look at those.

Think i am going to go with the Trick Flows. But what series are these new ones? Went to there site and they only have one pair. Guess that's it. Seemed to rember though that they didn't offer any for the 2v, but it's been a few years

The smaller chamber will bump your compression, which will compliment all of your bolt ons. The smaller chamber is for npi cars, they are the same chamber size as a stock p.I head. The heads your are looking for are the twisted wedge 38 cc chamber.

PI Power Induced? Plan on putting a Kenne Belle on it, but not until next year. Wanted to get in high 11's NA with stock block and Crankshaft, but I don't think i can with this DD

No, it's "power improved".

You really need to plan on what you want to do with your car.

The 2v Crank is good for 500-700hp. You don't need to mess with a Cobra Crankshaft. The stock block is good for over 400rwhp.

If you want to go 11's on the stock block, it can be done and be a daily driver.

If you have not done headers/gears, then I would start with that. Then, go with a power adder. The Kenne Belle Blower should have you knocking on the door of 11's with a nice 60ft. I am sure Tim, and other Nitrous guys can point you in the direction if go that route. Eitherway, I would leave the PI heads and Longblock(maybe cams) alone. If your goal is 11's on the stock block with a power adder, you are going to be spending a lot of money on heads/install/tune right now if you decide to tear the motor apart and go with Trickflow heads. Factor in the labor if you are not doing the work. I would save the money for the blower.

I did ported Livernois heads with their stage 1 cams. Check the Sig andsee if thats enough power and we aren't even close to finished yet. We expect 700+. If I upgrade the blower to an SI, then expect 750 or better.
