Ok, I cannot get my laptop to recognize when I connect the Tweecer to it. I have all of the software downloaded but nothing happens when I plug the tweecer into the usb port. I know my usb ports work because I use them regularly. I am getting really tired of having to pull my ECM so I can hook the tweecer up to my desktop everytime I want to make some adjustments.
It is a Gateway laptop with windows 7. anyone have any idea what could be wrong & have a solution to fix it? , Joey

no one else has had this problem? anyone? I have called the Tweecer company twice, left a message on the machine & no one has called me back. I really need to get this resolved. it is probably something simple but I just can't figure it out.
what I can't figure out is the Tweecer works fine on my desktop but my laptop acts like nothing happens when I plug the Tweecer in.

don't know much about the BD rate. I guess I should remove/delete everything that is related to the tweecer & try re-downloading it. I bought it used without a software disk so I am downloading everything from their site.

I imagine you're using the serial comm port on the laptop.
In order for your IO data to pass, the data bits must be flow at the correct volume (baud rate).
In the setup table, I'm thinking you must be at either 2400,4800 or 9600.

Look through the manual again referring to the section for drivers.

Sometimes they need to be manually setup, which can be a pain if you aren't real familiar with Windows/Vista junk...

do you get any errors when you try to run the software?

I had the same problem with my tweecer and windows vista and it ended up being a bad usb cable that i was using that i had routed through the car.

you can try clicking this link and downloading this version. has the updated drivers. http://www.popsracing.com/download/tweecerrt.exe

no error's with the software. all that stuff went in fine. I know the usb cable is good because I use it with the tweecer & my desktop. I will try the link you sent.
I am not very familiar with Windows 7 yet but I guess I will have to try setting it up manually anyway. either that or just get an older laptop & dedicate it to the stang/tweecer.
