What color/style of rim looks best on Candy Apple Red Mustangs?

Ok guys... I've run out of creative juices and need some inspiration. I need new rims more than anything right now... And I need something to save up for! I've been thinking of about 15 different wheel type/colorways for my ride... But I keep changing my mind. What looks best on Candy Apple Red? I don't really want chrome/polished. I'm thinking about hypercoated/black/black chrome/anthracite. I want to go with 18s I've decided...

UGH. So many options! Any pics of DCAR 'Stang with aftermarket rims would be AWESOME.

Here are a few recent pictures of my car...

Thanks guys.

You deff need bigger wheels, or to lower your car imo.. I think chrome looks best on reds, blacks, and whites. But a red black combo could look good too. Would stay in 5 star type rims and something with deep dish too, chrome trim around rim, low profile tired. But the blck/chrome combo would look better if you have dark tint on windows and maybe smoked lights. just my 2 cents

Yup, wheels are next, then suspension. I like chrome wheels but I've basically deleted all chrome from the exterior of my car... And I don't think chrome wheels are what I'm looking for.

I used to really like the simple 5-spoke Saleen rims but I'm thinking they'll look like donuts from far away.

Not really a big fan of 5-spoke Bullitts, because everyone has them. I'm considering GT4s or FR500s though... In maybe black w/ polished lip or anthracite.

What looks best on Candy Apple Red?
Now why would you want to know that if your car isn't that color? :rlaugh:

Anyways. I think you should stick with your color scheme going on already. Since you have blacked things out and gotten rid of the chrome then black would be your best choice so as not make the car look ridiculous. Matte or gloss is up to you though :nice:

Lol, my car is Dark Candy Apple Red. Is that better? :p

So black with polished lip? What wheel style do you think?

And I am liking the Anthracite GT500/GT4 rims.

Thanks Nathan... I like them as well! They're definitely on my possibility list. Quite a few people on another forum are suggesting the 18x9.5" Shelby CS69 Black/Silver rims.

I'm unsure about them... But I think I'll Photoshop them on today. I'm keeping my options open!

They do look nice, but I guess it would depend on if you want 5 spoke design or if you like the web design.

For me I already have a few chrome accents so the 5 spoke design helps simplify things and tone it down...the webs would just make all the accents way too busy, in my opinion anyways :D

I just got a couple weeks ago the "Sport Muscle Tach" 18" Chrome rims wrapped with Bridgestone RE760 (255/45's) and they look awesome! You can view on your car thru Tire Rack - Your performance experts for tires and wheels. I don't have any pics yet but they look great especially with the red duplicolor caliper paint too that I did.

BTY - The Bridgestone 760's have great traction and very good ride quality.:nice:

Thanks for the input! I ended up 'Shopping the CS69s just for kicks. They don't look half bad!
