Ricers crack me up! I pulled up to our local smoke shop and there was a group of "stoners" outside surrounding a blue civic (with stickers and ginormous muffler to match) all turned their heads when I parked. One said "Nice car" and the another moron chimed in....."Dude you should race her".

I said please, son, racing on the open road is for sissy's, meet me up at Norwalk and I'll finish the 1/4 mile before you even start. He proceeded to ramble on some crap about his 5-speed and I just walked away.

It's not worth it to race idiots like this. You all know what I'm talking about, take it to a track. Lookin forward to going to Norwalk Raceway this summer!

I didn't mean to bash bikers in general,my best friend and my brother both ride H-Ds,although my friend does get a little pissed when I tease him about his wardrobe, but he has always had a bike even in high school,my brother is an a@#hole but thats just because he's my brother and he's always been one. It's just I get tired of them revving their engines,as to say look at me,I would feel the same if they were doing that in cars.I don't do that.Wish I could get away with having an exhaust as loud as some of these bikes, well maybe when I was 16 anyway. So please those of you who ride please don't take offense.Just remember, everything in moderation.A little goes a long way.

It's when you get the young guy on the Sporty with drag pipes next to you hammering on it trying to get you to take the bait. The best part is when they are twisting so hard their elbow its pointing towards the front of the bike all the while the goon was staring over at me.

Like I'm supposed to be impressed with a mid 12 second bike :notnice:

I cracked on my car for about one second and I think the guy ***** himself and backed wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy off.

Rolling along my car looks stock and almost sounds stock; just the way I like it.

ha reading this thread makes me feel like an idiot, havent had insurance for 12 years and been driving my expired plate stang around last few days waiting for the stickers to come in the mail. however that will change june 1st when everyone here is required to have insurance

I hear ya on the idiots harleys are cool but some go overboard with it and i have had more then a few ricers tryna chase me around lately, also i always get the kids on bikes gang waving their hands in circle in hopes of me doing burnouts, unfortunately alot of the times thats enough convincing for me to do it.

I could rip you a new one for this, but I'll leave it short. Lets just say that someone close to me almost died, had most of her digestive system removed and 5 vertebrae fused through the course of more emergency surgeries than you could count on one hand. The guilty party DID have insurance, but it was minimum coverage and came nowhere NEAR to paying for her 40-some days in the hospital. Imagine what the situation would have been if they had no insurance at all.

To you and everybody else who rolls around without insurance: GO GET SOME TODAY. Its people like you that force people like me to drop the extra cash on uninsured/under-insured coverage.

I'm not meaning to make enemies with you, but this is something I feel very strongly about. You don't realize how much a risk you are taking.

Insurance is a good diea and i will be getting some soon however I think insurance is dirty dirty ( see the movie sicko by michael moore)

2nd biggest scam behind organized religion in my opinion. I know saying this may piss alot of people off but look at the news lately here in wisconsin a catholic priest molested 200 deaf boys and was never been punished. WWJD?

while agreeing with both things you say, your falacious retort is dirty. insurance is a necesity. im guessing in a place where you don't need it, it must be a small place. where i live if your driving with out insurance your a moron(among other things). and i believe that should be the law of the land everywhere. insurance keeps you accountable for your actions. you wreck someone w/o insurance and you can put many years behind you before paying. i know this because someone very close to me was a moron and wrecked 5 times in 2 months and just got his license revoked. it's been years he's moved on, but he still hasn't payed anything so therefor he still doesn't have his license.

I don't understand how some states can allow driving without insurance. Here in MA, you can't even register a car without your insurance company filling out a form first for you.

Reason i haven't taken my 5.0 out on the road yet is because I have minimum insurance on it just for the winter. Wouldn't even think twice about touching a road until i jack it up to full coverage.

I agree though that insurance is one of the biggest scams out there. You pay thousands into premiums and then if you ever use it you are treated like a criminal. I've seen people dropped from homeowners ins. for making a minor claim after years of nothing.
