Whatsup everyone, first off sorry if i posted in the wrong section but i figured i figured i would get the most looks here. So im in the process of the swap into my 97 cobra now, been doing research and whatnot but nothings better than first hand advice right?? so heres whats done right now
- Engine bay is basically stripped for paint, plus i figured i could put it all back together however i want
- I have a fuel tank and pumps from an 03 ready to go in
- Have a d/s from an 03 with the hybrid u-joint and a buddy making me an 11/16" spacer for it (hes just replicating steedas spacer for me), no problem right?
- I need to relocate just the alternator i believe?
- Motor has the wiring harness on it and i found a thread on converting a 97 from coil packs to COP's by splicing the harness's ( has a full wire diagram i can post the link if thats allowed?) . Isnt that all i'm really doing anyways?
- Was planning on using my stock computer and gauge cluster too as long as i can (once everythings in im just turning her on to make sure theres no vaccum leaks and she idles fine and then its right to the tuner on the trailer)
- Theres also a few other sensor and vaccum line issues i need to worry about
Looking forward to responses and getting this done guys! also in todays iphone world i can post pictures whenever of whatever lol. thanks in advance!!

I assume when you said the motor had the wiring harness on it you mean the '97. Yes the alternator pig tail has to be relocated and you may need the Terminator specific plug as well I believe it's different (on the Mach 1 it is different). The TPS sensor pigtail will need to be lengthened as well. Not sure about the EGR and related sensors as I removed all of mine. You should relocate your IAT wiring to the IAT2 location at the back of the blower, for that you will need to lengthen it and buy the IAT2 pigtail. There are no knock sensors on the Terminator engine so you can remove those sensors and leave the plugs where ever you have space. Not sure about the COP conversion.
