Ive got 3.73 gears right now and it doesnt get me too boost rpm range quick enuf. But i'm afraid that 4.10 might be too much. Anybody have 4.10's with a centri supercharger?

I'm running about 450rwhp and Nitto 305/35/18 drag radials.

The only concern i really have is that i will run out of gear in the 1/4 with my Nitto Drag Radials 305/35/18's and 4.10s, and i really dont want to switch to a taller tire.

What trap speed should i expect with 450 rwhp?

and what will it max out at in 4th with 4.10's?

With 450rwhp I think you will max out. I would say you should trap around 115-120mph. I would stay with 3.73s.

AN EASY WAY (THE WAY I DID IT TO DETERMINE WHICH GEARS TO GET FOR MY CAR) IS FIND OUT YOUR EXACT RATIO FOR 4TH GEAR, THE EXACT DIAMETER OF YOUR TIRES, AND TRY 3.73, 3.90 AND 4.10 W/ THIS CALCULATOR! MY CAR @ 6700 RPMS IN 4TH GEAR W/ THE 3650 5 SPEED STILL HITS 139MPH...TRY IT OUT AND YOU CAN FIGURE OUT EXACTLY WHAT YOU CAN GET OUTTA 4TH GEAR W/ EACH REAR END GEAR. AND whoa, sorry for the caps, I just realized I wrote this all in caps.. soorryy!! Hope this helps u decide. i went w/ 3.73's so I can keep going up on power, goin 4.10's and nearing 500rwhp you are getting damn close to the "Son-of-a-bit*h, gotta go to 5th now" tragedy..lol

USE THE LINK HERE ^ AND PUT IN YOUR INFO... AND IT SEEMS THAT ALL THESE TRANSMISSIONS SHARE THE 1.1 4TH GEAR RATIO, SO FIND OUT THE EXAXT DIAMETER OF YOUR TIRES, USE THE 1.1 AS THE RATIO (WHICH WILL BE 4TH GEAR) AND TRY DIFFERENT RATIOS TO SEE.. AS LONG AS U CAN GET 130 OR SO MPH OUTTA 4TH @ YOUR REDLINE YOU ARE GOOD ALL THE WAY INTO THE 10'S

I run 4.10's in mine, but I run a six speed with a .50 top gear. First four gears are the same ratios basically and get you to 100 real darn quick.

Not true. 1st gear in a T45 or TR3650 (3.37:1 / 3.38:1) with 3.73s is nearly the same as 1st gear in a T56 (2.97:1 1st) with 4.10 gears. The T56s with 2.66 1st gear would be even worse. The only gears that are the same is 4th gear, 1:1.

3.73s:

TR3650 3.38 1st gear: 3.38x3.73 = 12.61

T45 3.37 1st gear: 3.37x3.73 = 12.57

T56 2.97 1st gear: 2.97x3.73 = 11.08

T56 2.66 1st gear: 2.66x3.73 = 9.92

4.10s:

TR3650 3.38 1st gear: 3.38x4.10 = 13.86

T45 3.37 1st gear: 3.37x4.10 = 13.82

T56 2.97 1st gear: 2.97x4.10 = 12.18

T56 2.66 1st gear: 2.66x4.10 = 10.91

I daily drive on my ProCharged GT with 473 RWHP and 4.10s. The top end of first gear is kind of useless on the street, but otherwise it's nice. I imagine with 26" tires you will be right at the 6250 rev limiter in the 1/4 mile. I haven't taken mine to the track yet with the new blower, so I haven't gotten to try it yet. The math says that with my 26.3" slicks and 6050 rev limiter I should be good for 115 mph, but that doesn't account for tire growth. I think it's going to need a little more, but we'll find out soon enough.

I am new to Mustangnet and I don't want to steal a thread. I also am thinking about installing 4:10 gears on a 2013 5.0 with a procharger. I love the power, but the loss of low end torgue is somewhat of an issue. Driveability and gas mileage are great, for what that's worth with a muscle car. Lol. I could get quicker starts before the procharger install. I understand the compromises that come with shorter gears, i.e, shifting, higher rpms, higher running temperatures. It just seems like I need to really need to ramp up the rpms to get a decent launch. Not a daily driver, 22K. However, I can live with the way it is, fun to drive, and I don't want to open up another can worms....., or cause engine damage. Currently running 2200 rpms at 70 mph. Procharger 1-PSC-1 System II, H- Model. I have two tunes, HP Dyno,~ 600HP at 92 Octane and ~700HP at 99 Octane. Will probably never use the 700 HP, both RWHP. Maybe too much information, just interested in honest pro and con opinions. Suspension, driveshaft with 3.73 gears have all been upgraded.
