ill be up front i dont know jack about ford motors, ive been born and raised chevy, but im by far not biased..... someone please convince me of something else to put in my fox besides a 5.7 ls1 or a 6.0 ls2..... i need ideas here just lookin for some advice....

LS1 in a fox is just wrong. Even though it would be fast. Just emailed a friend of mine a craigslist add for central NJ for a complete ls1 swap for 1500. Hes a GM guy. He emails me back that it would be perfect to go in a mustang. I just dont think i could do it. Stay with a windsor swap and just read up all you can on it. its not that hard.

I know a couple of guys who have chevy engines in their mustangs. They are running 12's with very mild mods. I am not for or against it. I wouldnt do it to a mutang but to each his own.

i got a buddy with a 6.0 LQ out of an escalade with a powerglide behind it...that thing is extremely fast...i dont know, its a hard decision...how about a 4.6 or a 5.4?

not big on modular so the 4.6 is out.... never understood what ford was thinking when they went to that motor.... whats wrong with one cam? lol its fast that im aware of but stick with what you know..... the 5.0 its self doesnt scare me to work on im fairly familiar with it. but the 4.6 thats another animal completely to me.

Buddy, you just opened up a can of worms.

My vote is for a stroked Windsor, 393-408 or bigger.

i figured i would by even mentioning the ls motors. lol oh well.... im still listening tho. this is my process... thikin about it talking about it thikning about it some more than talking about it than acting on it...... right now im talking about it than its back to the thikin.

actually now that i think about it..... a 302 bored out to a 306 with the right internals should be able to get a decent amount of power gains .... plus its the same damp block..... hardly have to do ship except a boat load of motor work..... and strokers are expensive when you really get into them i dont have money for blueprinting and all that crap. the amount of money in blue pringint and all that i could have an ls2 ready k member for my fox

Idk what your budget is but for 2 g you can get a fresh 302 block with forged internals, and still have room for a cam of your choice. Of course top end is a different ball game.
