Hello all, I want to put some 20 inch rims on my 98 mustang, however ive looked online and ive only saw 3 mustangs with 20s on it. I was wondering if anyone here has 20s, and if so, how hard is it to put 20s on? If anyone has done it, whats required? Thanks in advance for your help.

There is a reason why there is only three with 20's on them, your mustang license must be revoked.

They are not bad. Dont go above a 225/35/20 in the front. The rear you can go a little wider. Honestly you arent going to need gobs of traction in a V6 so i would stick with a 225. Hope that helps.

Well with 20 inch rims...all performance options have been dropped anyways...its obviously a purely for show car now and i personally like 20's on them...i mean 19's on a saleen look normal. As long as he has it dropped to fit the rims perfectly, it will look nice.

You're saying that even with 20's the car still needs drop to get rid of the wheel well gap.

I've got a 97 and debating on the 18's or 20's. The car is just for weekends, don't really give a rip about speed.

What is more negative for the vehicle putting 18 or 20's or lowering the suspension.

I have a '99 V6, modded by a previous owner, etc. and frankly, you're best off with 18's. I don't know why kids my age are so obsessed by 20 and 22" wheels, it looks incredibly stupid and incredibly belligerent. Especially when you're running stock brakes/calipers which don't need the extra space because they're small enough as it is.

I think 18s are a good compromise, but unfortunately I'm running 18x9.5" in the front, so I may need a steering rack limitor, but we shall see. My suspension was lowered about an inch by the previous owner, which is why I am unsure.
