Just bought a set of 18" FRPP takeoff Chrome bullets & tires used for my 2007GT.
The guy wasn't sure if the wheels had the sensors in them when he bought them for his 2005 GT from NTO.com in 2007. I installed the wheels and not until 2 days later about 70 miles I finally got a TPMS monitor malfuntion warning. Nothing about low pressure. The warning went away when I press the reset button and has not come back on again.
Is it possible that the sensors are in but the system needs to be reset ?

My tire guy just checked them and the sensors are in the 18's. Now I have to reset the BCU for the change from 17's to 18's according to the ford owners manual.. The tire guy had no clue how to reset them.

Go to your dealer.

I just got brand new take off GT500 wheels/tires. Same exact problem...Tire Pressure Monitor Fault.

Apparently the reset sequence on the Mustang is backwards from most other Ford cars, but basically it involves hitting the brake a few times and cycling the key on/off a few times.

They did it in 15 min for free.

Now the car is fine.
