I'm looking to buy an 06 to 08 GT vert. Where do you fellows go to look for a used car in Florida, Arizona, NC, SC, etc.? Up here in Toronto we have online listings such as autotrader.ca and Kijiji.ca ( in the US it's called Ebay classified ) and we can go into a convenience store and buy a weekly paper / book / whatever such as Autotrader, Triad, etc. What do you fellows have in any of these states? Our dollar is about equal to the US dollar right now so I am hoping to get a better deal by going South. When I Google to find US sources, all I find are dealer listings. If you were looking for a used Mustang, where would you look?? I've looked here in the classified.

Thanks

I've had great luck buying cars on and suggesting Autotrader to people. Seems like people who care about their cars sell and buy there.

Not knowing your criteria for search I'd go with Arizona because of the sea salt issue if you buy a vehicle that is on the Florida Coast. Plus add the hurricane factor with possible flood damaging and top it off with the fact that FL has no real vehicle inspections whatsoever which means you may find yourself with a car that has a lot of safety equipment / emission stuff removed. That may be a factor in your decision making but may also warn you that the car has been built badly or abused.

Thanks.
Basically a stock Mustang is not a big difference in price between Toronto and pricing I'm finding in the US. But there are a lot of deals in the US that you can end up with 10 or 12 thousand in upgrades that really doesn't jack the price up much. So I want to look somewhere where I can grab a flight out of Toronto, buy a vehicle and be back here within a day or two drive. And there are some areas where the recession has hit hard, and fellows need to unload their toys. So I can help someone get rid of a car and I can get a good price. So really anywhere from Toronto on down to Florida or Arizona will work for me.
