I am in the middle of installing my Steeda Camber Kit and the only thing stopping me from this easy install is removing the upper strut bolt. When I try to loosen the bolt the whole upper part of the strut wants to spin with it. I noticed the notch in the top of the threaded part but can't find anything strong enough to hold it still while I spin the nut off. Does anyone have any tips on removing this??? Help my car is up on stands now.

don't panic man. I did this all by myself as well. If you look at the strut it has a slot where you can put a flat head screw driver in. So, get anything that is flat and long to put in that slot and use a big wrench to turn that nut. All you need is the right tool. I though I was never going to be able to get the strut out without impact gun. But it worked out just fine. good luck man. Post the update if you run into any probs

another easy thing to do is take off the top nut first while the car is still on the ground with the weight of the front of the car helping hold the upper half of the strut still. It helped me a ton. You may have to put some stuff back together to accomplish this, or just use a jack and lift up on the control arm. Hope this helps.

For those prevailing-torque fasteners, I use a pry bar (the kind that look like a HD screwdriver that's bent towards the end. Parts stores and hardware stores sell them).

Good luck.

I used a slotted driver bit on my 3/8" ratchet to hold mine over the weekend. It's not terrible, but I'm a little concerned that I didn't get the nut torqued properly.
