Im about to order some new plugs from AM and I want to make sure I get the correct gap for my application.

N/A 4.6 with the mods in my sig (basically stock). What should I gap them at? Someone here recommended 0.050-0.054. Is that good?

Also, should I go with NGK's or Motorcraft? Im leaning towards Motorcraft OEM's.

Thanks.

The NGK's come with a larger gap but from what I hear you do not need to re gap them smaller.

I did and it runs perfect but i doubt I had to. I got the iridiums BTW.

I am scared to death about shooting plugs out of the heads and from what I've heard, the NGK's have less threads than that of the OEM Motorcrafts. This makes me really apprehensive about buying the NGK's

The problem is the number of threads in the cylinder head casting, not the number of threads on the plug itself. Just torque the plugs correctly and go back after a tank of gas has run through it again and make sure they're still tight.

You won't notice any difference running NGK or Motocraft parts. As noted, stick with the stock gap. You only really need to close the gap down some if you're running nitrous or a blower.

I'm sure this goes without saying but just in case change the plugs on a STONE COLD ENGINE.

also I know this wasn't asked but i'm a fan of the cooper plugs, especially if your gonna change 'em out more often than the average joe.
