hello I am doing the same thing, 65 with a 90 efi. don't really understand what exactly you are asking. I messed around with the 90 harness but couldn't get it to work so now I am trying with a 92 should be easier since most of the info is based on it. are u looking a 12 volt from ur 65 harness? I would think from the red/blue wire from the coil, also going to the brown wire in the solenoid.

I found this somewhere when i did my wiring.

The post that is marked 'B' is the accessory position, the post marked 'D' is the start position and the post marked 'C' is the ignition, or On', circuit that plugs into the resistor wire, which goes out to the coil. The post marked 'A' is a switch ground, which isn't used on a Mustang.
The gauges and turn signals and stuff that use keyed power from the 'on' position of the switch are attached to the threaded stud on the switch.

The wires you also need to hookup correctly are the two coming from the distributor . On the wiring diagram next to the TFI connector are the start and run power wires . red/blue (start power only) and red/green which is the run power (12v constant)

Hope that helps.
