whats your opinion on the 2010 svt f-150 raptor

A Raptor Supercrew !!!

That's the dumbest thing that Ford could ever do, I hope this is just a concept and will never be a real truck. If Ford does product a Raptor Supercrew, it will be worst then the H2 crowed, imagine seeing a Raptor Supercrew as a truck showing up at the mall with the kiddies for some christmas shopping. I think Ford should have a requirement for people who purchase a vehicle like this.

Like, "Off road it or you can't buy it" if you wanted a pavement queen buy a fx4 and lift it.

There is demand for the supercrew - they would be dumb not to build it IMO.

Well if someone is going to dish out $40k I highly doubt you will see it off roading...Ford is in a business to make money so they designed the truck for what they think will sell....Do you think every person that buys a mustang is suppose to take it to the track every Saturday night too?

I agree with 1990Coupe they would be dumb to not make a Super Crew.

Well of course it makes financial sense to build a supercrew, but it ruins the whole image of the true raptor. Comparing people who buy mustangs is pointless, no offense, because the mustang wasn't necessarily purpose built for the track, unlike the raptor which was purpose built to off road at 80 to 100mph across the sand.

What I am trying to say is why would you want to ruin the imagine of the baja truck you just built.

I mean, people would have bought a 4 door lightning too, but oh god... (a harley version doesn't count, different interior and exterior)

And if you buy a truck like that to not off road it why are you really buying it, can I hear compensation for something. Because like I said before, whats wrong with the 10K less fx4.

I understand this, but you also have to consider how many people live in a place you can go 80mph in sand? Hell in Ohio I dont think their is sand anywhere lol.

The raptor has a different look than a typical Fx4, and thats what is going to attract people to it, not that its "designed" to be a baja truck because its not a Baja truck. If I spent $40k on that truck I wouldnt take it off road because I would want to scratch it....$40k is alot of money to just take off road and tear up. just my $.02

For the record, I love my FX4 Supercrew....and I'll admit right off the bat, it’s a total pavement princess. But with our Canadian winters, a daily driver had to be at least front, or four-wheel drive for me and it’s tough to look good in a front wheel drive. :D

Diesels are too noisy, to bulky and too expensive for daily drivers IMO. And although they make great tow/haulage vehicles, they’re far too heavy and massive to be much of a 4x4 (in most cases). I like the fact that I still have the "option" to go off roading if I choose, to and haul my Cougar around to track events if that's what I want to do, and carry 4-other friends with me for the trip.

The nice part about the Raptor is that you do in fact get a lot of the traditional BAJA capabilities, for about 1/4 the price of a "built" BAJA truck. No, you're probably not going to drive right off the showroom floor and compete in the 1000 with one, but you'de be surprise how very little difference there actually is between the truck sold to the public and the Raptor R they enter in the event.

To be honest, $45,000 is a steal for the truck if this is the direction you're going with it. If not....that's an awful lot of money to spend on a truck for towing around your boat. And if you opt for the Supercrew it’ll cost you another $5,000 to do less with it…..except you can now do it with more passengers. ;)

I had a hard on for the old Chevy Bajas too but I was only 17 and lived on a rock. :rlaugh:
