2010/2011, better handling?

Folks, has any site or even enthusiast done a real comparison on which of the two, 2010 (with track pack) or 2011 (with brembo option), is the better road-course or autox car? I ask because I currently have an S2000 and have seriously considered selling it for a new GT. I can't go from the S2000, which is like a go cart on steroids, to something that handles like a wet turd in the sewer.

Any links or direct comparison info is appreciated, but let's try to keep the unexperienced opinions to a minimum. Thanks so much.

My 2010 handles great, for a mustang. I have driven numerous s2000's, while I do not like them, they handle much better than a stang.

Yea the problem with the S is that is has no TORQUE! The car is awesome once you get into the high RPMs, and if they made the S new I would buy a 2012 or 2011. But they don't and the 5.0 would be a great second car/track car. Honestly I would like to keep both, make the S a tack monster and the 5.0 a highway monster. Fundage, however, will not allow for it (not to mention space).

With very minimal $$, the 2010-2011 mustang can handle...very...very well. We got a Ford Motorsport FR3 suspension kit new for $750 on Ebay. I think they run about $1200. The upgraded sway bars, shocks, dampners, and springs made the car handle like it was on rails. We eventually got some KDW2 tires also.

Seriously, the car isane handling-wise.

Hey Crackballer,

I also currently have an 2000 S2000 (im on s2ki.com also), which I will be selling for a new 5.0 pretty soon. You know there is not much out there that can compare handling to our s2k. I have not driven a 2011, but I did test drive a 2010 GT, and it handles ok. With some good suspesion work, it will handle pretty good, but still not the same level as a stock s2k. Before owning my s2, I had the older fox body mustangs, and I had the steeda gtrac suspension on all of them. It was pretty good handling. I feel you on Honda not continuing the S2k, and also that the s2k had no tq. Even with most basic turbo or s/c kits (greddy, comptech, vortec) it still felt like it lacked power and I felt that the S2K needed some sort of FI just to keep up with the cars that are out today. As much as I hate to see my S2k go, I feel that the stang is one of the best options out there today to replace it, along with some suspension mods to bring it up to the s2k level of handling.

The S2k is classic and a GREAT handling car.. like a Miata... I can't think how a mustang, even with cash put in to it will touch it... Yes, the power was down, but you could always add that (not down below... but still) it's so sad they won't make it anymore.
