hey man from what i was told its gonna be kinda hard. u hace to go to a dealership and have them code the keys u have to the new cluster. maybe even have to find the keys from the gt cluster. but am not to sure i had a problem like that and thats what i was told.

So far what I am getting is that the Pats (passive anti theft system) has to be deactivated which I can do myself or go to a dealership and have them do it deactiveate or recalibrate to the new cluster. Second is they have to program your mileage into the new cluster at a dealership that is not something I know how to do. but so far that is what I am seeing in some of the od threads. Other than that I have yet to get any good input techniclaly wise. Thanks for the reply nRH. Knowing that I need to know will there be a mph difference readings i.e. I am doin 30 mph and the new gauge being different sized says I am doing 15. I think since it is electroniclally controlled it should read right but you never know or maybe I just have to play with my rear gear settings to get it to read right (or close enough) that is what I really need to know.

Opps forgot to mention you have to swap your odmerter cluster in the back of your board it has two screws, pop her out and put it on the new board. Quiquie I do have a tuner that will let me do pretty much everything I was thinking of adjusting the rear gear size but I suppose tire revolutions might work too thanks for that idea. I would think since it is all sent digitaly then coverted to your instument panel it should compensate itself I did find one company that has a cluster for 299.99 all retuned and ready for a swap made by Simco. Has anyone ever used one of their products before? It is dfferent I do not like the back lighting but atleast it is still kinda geen/indigo and on the tach their is a mustang which is nice and on the bottom two slots theier are mustangs also mounted their but they are a see through type deal. So you can read engine needs sevice lol hopefully not! and I mean hopefully never! Thanks for the input quiquie.

Ive nvr heard of anyone use one from Simco. Well the cluster i got was from a wreked 2000 GT anniversary mustang but im sure any GT or above cluster will work..Swapt the back and got the extra key made but i did have to get the cluster calibrated for a 6..only problem was that i had a 8.8 rear end froma GT compared to the 7.5 stock we get in the v6. they did the best they could but it was alway off by about 14% so i got the tunner and fixed it right up. No problem happy to help and hope you solve the issue

Why the rear swap? I am eventually going to weld the plate on to my axels for the quad shock, we have the upper attachents from the factory I am pretty sure we do anyways, unless you did it for power reasons which would be nice for reliability. I might just also put a steering pillar gauge adapter and add a 2in. digital guage and go cheapo.

well the 8.8 rear end already comes with the posi-track so no more one wheel burn outs and its more sturdy since i went with the 4.10 gears so it will be able to handle the power. The 7.5 rear end is more likely to snap with all the power going to the rear so it was the most logical way to go. It also already comes with the attachments for the quadshocks. I must say its a big must to get some big easy power. You can defenetly feel the diff. when you take off.
