Okay so I scored a T5 from the local junkyard for only 55 dollars. I wanted to check the gears so I pulled the cover off and looked inside. Well my friend started messing with the cover and moved the shift forks all around, now I can't figure out how it is suppose to go back. Does anyone have any pictures of what it should look like to put it back on? Thanks.

Thanks that is exactly what I needed. Somehow on mine the middle oval shaped piece with the pin in it slid out from that ring and I can't get it to go back in. So looks like im gonna have to take that pin out and put it all back together one piece at a time. Thanks :nice:

The entire shaft slid out of the end of the case? I don't think that's what you mean, but If so, it should slide back in after some wiggling and jiggling.

the forks have to be in the right spot to slide it back together like I have in the pic.

Take the fork furthest to the front of the trans and take the slot on the fork lever and put that slot between the horse shoe, then take the fork on the right, and hold the horse shoe at the same time as you slide the lever on the right through the slot in the horse shoe.

hard as hell to describe, but the fork on the left has to already have it's slot around the horse shoe bend, then you slide the right fork/rod through the center of the horse shoe and it'll all pop into place.

No what happened was that little egg shaped part that the pin goes through slid through that little c ring, and couldn't go back in. I took the pin out today and took it apart and will probably be putting it back together tomorrow night.
