2011 GT runs 10's!

I just dont like the area around the tail lights or the tail lights, the rest of the car isnt bad.

Yea i know it would take deep pockets now,but just wonder if its actually possible what kind of parts and enginuity its gonna take, besides after theres been a few sold and wreaked the motors might not be as pricey...

it really isnt going to take a lot of money over the car itself to run 9's.

basic bolt on suspensions parts, gears, 250port injected shot, tune, slicks, a transmission that can handle it. my advice is to get an automatic if you want to run like that. the 6 speed auto is supposed to handle more power than 656rwhp.

10's is a 150shot, suspension, tune, slicks, exhaust, filter.

11's is a 100 shot, suspension, and et streets.

low 12's tune, et streets.

highest tune only car is 415rwhp/390rwtq. that's a 2000 mile car with tune only. not one single bolt on. he is gonna add a steeds CAI. im going with the steeda unit also. the car was dyno'd and tuned at livernois, so the dyno's history is well known.

the numbers just keep climbing faster than anyone could imagine.

probably only 5 -7 rwhp from the filter. its the tune that yields so much.

he should be at 420-425rwhp after he adds the filter/maf. the steeda unit has a 95mm velocity stacked maf.

he hasnt even messed with the REAL restriction. the exhaust is smaller than 1999-2010 mustangs. its 2.25 inches.

its starting to look like the limit from bolt ons is going to be 450-460rwhp.

450rwhp 05-09 with supercharger for a total cost of 22k vs 370-380rwhp on the 2011 5.0 for 40k. The 2011 will be looking at the 05-09s tail lights. Yes with basic bolt ons and a 93 oct tune the 5.0 puts down around 405 N/A rwhp (very impressive) but the 05-09 will still be passing it for a lot less money. Don't get me wrong I love the 5.0 but for me it is just to much money. Also some days I like the looks of the new stangs some days I don't:shrug:. I'm sure if I put a supercharger on my car right now I would be looking at 400+rwhp and the 5.0s will be also looking at my tail lights. I just felt like putting in that last sentence to make me fell better about my car lol.

tune only 415rwhp. mine is only 33k financed.

hey man i know what you mean.

but the coyote is like a full race engine ford GREATLY detuned for the mustang GT. when the first cars surpass 450rwhp on bolt ons, its only a matter of time before cams and head porting gets into them. livernois has already said more than 400CFM in a ported coyote head.

the coyote will need a race valvetrain to reliably live with 8200 rpms, but thats just rocker/springs/retainers away.

we dont even have a BOSSR intake on one yet. they are tunnel port intake manifolds.

there's just no telling how much power these coyote's will see on the street in the next year.

i do feel like stock gt500's had better watch out.

I know it would be nearly impossible to get one of those in a new edge, and I'm not saying I want to do it.. But if you did, it would run like a scalded dog, considering how much lighter the 96-04s are
288lbs is really not a big deal considering how the chassis is 30x the chassis the 99-04 cars were. Also that extra weight is stuff you want. Big ass 4-pot brakes, panhard bar, better interior, more gears, steeper rear gear etc etc etc.
Put the larger brakes, stronger trans, panhard on the SN and the weight will be dang near the same yet the 2011 will still destroy the SN in all categories.
Its sad but true. I LOVE 03/04 Cobras..... LOVE THEM! I had 2 and they were everything to me but now, now way in hell I would choose one over a new GT.
