For all you guys who think you've got it bad, I've had the car for ~6 years and I figure I've got about 18k into it, and ITS STILL PRETTY MUCH STOCK. Bought the car for $4600, taxes, tires, new exhaust, etc. to get it certified bring it probably around $5500. Minor accident 4 months later so I picked up some Cervini pieces had a bunch of bodywork done and paint $7000 total. All together with tires, brakes, etc. I spent almost $2000 on my 5-lug conversion (still has drum brakes, no clue how the hell that happened lol). $1000 for gears, trac-lok, sub-frames all installed at a shop, $1400 recently for springs/dampers/cc plates and new brake pads up front. Broke the engine last year so new engine has probably $600 into it. Plus all the other randoms like cat-back,
control arms, etc. I've somehow managed to spend 18kish on a car with minor
suspension, catback, and 5-lug conversion. The worst part is, road-course driving means the front bumper is peppered with stone chips, the front bumper's paint is cracked/chipped from the tow-truck driver's cable, and the left-front fender lip is all messed up from when I rolled the lip to stop the tires rubbing. Also a bunch of scratches on the rear bumper from my parents moving junk around in the garage, so I basically need 1/2 the car re-painted again. FML
