Stprorolla49 Detailed: 2001 Bullitt + New DD Bullitts

So I'm gonna take one out of Handz's book and do a nice detailing writeup. I fall slightly short because I didn't take pics as I went because I didn't wanna get the camera dirty, but I'll do a short writeup. I did a detail on it about 2 weeks ago, but it was my first time with the Porter Cable and I didn't use an aggressive enough pad, and there were still swirls that I found the next day. I have gotten a few cars worth of practice over the last few weeks and I have been so busy, but finally got some time today to strip the car to bare paint and start over. This time I used halogen lights to check for swirls and I got them all out. I also just mounted my 17x10.5 DD Bullitts and 315's!! Enjoy:nice:

Again, I don't have any progress pics, but here's the finals. They aren't the best pics, Next time I'll have my buddy take some pics while I do the detail.

looks great!!! i love that color and really digging the no wing.. and the red calipers.. but why does everyone on this site use CG products? i've done a ton of research on different products and "adams polishes" seem to be the best i've found.. i mean their car wash soap is PH neutral so even if it dries it wont leave any spots.. pretty serious. maybe when your CG well runs dry might check out adam's..

Adam's Polishes

i plan on trying both soon as i can get rid of my back log of waxes/polishes/washes..

If I'm not mistaken, CG actually makes the products for Adams. CG does have a pH neutral soap as well, thats probably the same one from Adams:

Daily car wash shampoos CITRUS BASED

car looks awsome. when did they start making the 10.5 to match the lighter color factory bullitts wheels?

They don't match, it's just the lighting I guess. I am trying to sell my factory wheels as of a few hours ago because I want to get the 17x9's that match the rears. Funny how buying only 2 wheels turns into buying a whole set...

are thoses anthracite bullittS?

Yes, they are anthracite Bullitts.

315/35/17 Sumitomo HTR's. For $130 shipped for both with like 90% tread on them from a guy on SVTP, I can't complain. I had them on my old '95 and they lasted over 20k miles and still had at least 50% left in them. They don't hook really well, but whats what DR's are for :D

What springs do you have ? I love the look of your drop !
