4:10's and an AOD?

Is anybody running 4:10 gears with there AOD trans? I have stock gears in mine now and first and second gears pull pretty nice but as soon as it goes into third it falls flat on its face, so I've been thing about running 4:10, I know they will increase my rpm alot but for crusing I have overdrive so that should drop them down to a point that I can still cruse right? My trans also has a TCI 3500 rpm stall converter, hardend shafts, extra clutch packs, and a shift kit, Im not sure if any of that matters but I figured I throw it in there just incase

I have a Lentech AOD and 4.11's (it's an 8" rear) and it is Awesome, wouldn't have it any other way. When I switch the OD on the RPM's drop by about 1000RPM. It's pretty sweet when it is running right. lol.

Im glad to hear that there is some hope for my 5.slow, Once I get the gears and heads in/on I'll post and let you guys know how it goes. Thanks

if have 410's in my coupe and 373's in my hatch.if i were to do it again i would try the 390's. sometimes on long trips the 410's can be a bit much but i love them on the street!

i ran an aod with 4.10's on the street. i had a non lockup 2500 stall converter and at highway speeds it ran about 2300-2400 rpm. loved it
